Who can participate?
Pretty much anyone with a website can participate, however we vet affiliates on an individual basis to ensure that all associated websites are ‘appropriate' to our business, this is done by our web team. For your information we will not accept websites offering spam services, advertising warez, P2P services or pornographic material.

PPC Restrictions
We currently have no restrictions on terms and phrases used to promote our program via Pay Per Click Search Engines.

So how does the affiliate program work?
Our affiliate program makes it easy for you to earn money for sales that come from your site to ours. You place special links and/or banners to Character Group Plc (character-online.com) on your web site. When someone follows those links and buys any product from our store, we record it and know to give you commission for the sale.

Affiliate Window
We have teamed up with Affiliate Window to deliver our affiliate system as we believe they offer the best solution for our business and the best reporting and tools for affiliates.

If you have little time to manage this process, you can give over an area of your site for advertising that is served directly by Character-online. The DirectServe system will deliver contextual advertisements, based on keywords that you supply, directly into your website. Over time it will serve ads which best convert into sales from your site.

The beauty of Affiliate Window's technology is that it requires very little technical expertise. Whether you want to offer price or product comparisons, carry banners, text links, white label offerings or work with our DirectServe system, state of the art reporting and marketing tools are just a few clicks away.

Why should I choose the Character-online.com Affiliate Scheme?
Character Group Plc is engaged in the design, development and international distribution of toys and games. Character Group Plc currently has the license for Doctor Who, Primeval, Scooby Doo, Peppa Pig, and many more great selling lines.

Ok sounds great? How much will it cost me?
There is a small sign up fee for Affiliate Window, £5. But that’s it and once you have signed up, you can start earning money.

Do I get commission from all sales?
Yes. The unique links we provide you will track your visitors wherever they go on our site. You will get commission on everything they buy. In addition, if someone visits our site through your link, and then returns up to 30 days later to make a purchase, you will still get credit for that sale.

I am not in the UK, can I join?
No, we only allow UK affiliates at the moment.

So how much money can I earn?
We do not cap the amount of money that you can earn, for each sale you generate we give you an amazing starting 8% commission rate.  

And this is only the beginning. If you continue to generate good commissions on our website then we may increase your rate. For example if your track record on your Affiliate Account proves that you are earning serious amounts then we will take steps to make sure you benefit from the scheme!

When will I be paid?
You are paid through Affiliate Window. We chose Affiliate Window to ensure all affiliate are paid on time and there is complete transparency.

Affiliates have access to comprehensive exportable reports on performance, including earnings per click (EPC), conversion and average approval time.

The reports offer flexible time segments and archived information. Affiliates with content sites can see which pages generate sales, and PPC affiliates can see which search engines generate sales. For each creative, there are detailed statistics on impressions, clicks, clickthrough-rates (CTR), earnings per click (EPC) and conversion rates.

A unique desktop alert system keeps top performing affiliates up to date on earnings in real time, without the need for them to log into the interface.

Affiliate Terms and Conditions

Enrolment in the Program
You agree that all information in your application is true and accurate and understand and accept that any false information will result in the termination of your application. Applications are to be considered accepted and approved by us upon remittance by you. You will receive notification to confirm the approval or disapproval of your application. If your application is terminated for this or any other reason after it has been accepted, you automatically and immediately forfeit all commissions earned that have yet to be paid to you from the time of termination or decline. This is so because the commissions will have been earned under false pretences and are, therefore, invalid.

Linking To Our Site
You are responsible for ensuring that any link used is error free. Any errors in links and subsequent mistracking of commissions are your sole responsibility and you will not be compensated for them by character-online.com in any form.

Unsolicited Email
It is against your affiliate agreement to advertise the character-online.com URL via unsolicited email. Some people may think that your "spam" email originates from us, damaging our reputation and causing us administrative problems. DO NOT send unsolicited email to promote character-online.com or your account will be terminated, without notification and forfeiting all outstanding commissions.

Responsibility for Your Site
You will be solely responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of your site and for all materials that appear on your site. You will be specifically and solely responsible for, but not limited to, the following: The technical operation of your site and all related equipment, creating and posting of a product description on your site and linking that description to our site, the accuracy and appropriateness of descriptions posted on your site (including, but not limited to, all product-related materials), ensuring that materials posted on your site do not violate or infringe upon the rights of any third party (including, but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks, privacy rights, or other personal or proprietary rights), and ensuring that materials posted on your site are not libellous or otherwise illegal. We disclaim all liability for these matters. Further, you will indemnity and hold us harmless from all claims, damages, and expenses (including, but not limited to, attorneys' fees) relating to the development, operation, maintenance, and contents of your site.

Period of Agreement
The terms of this agreement will begin upon our acceptance of your Program application and will end when terminated by either party. Either you or we may terminate this agreement at any time, with or without cause, by giving the other party notice of termination generated by email. You are only eligible to earn referral fees on sales of Qualifying Products occurring during the term, and fees earned through the date of termination will remain payable only if the related orders are not cancelled or returned. We may withhold your final payment for a reasonable time (as determined by us) to ensure that the correct amount is paid.
